Johnson, VT- Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is encouraging members to conserve energy next week especially on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday July 26, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. This is when demand for electricity is expected to spike as a result of high temperatures throughout New England.

July 26, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Rock Art Brewery in Morrisville. Come hear from VEC’s Chief Executive Officer Christine Hallquist about some of the issues and programs the Cooperative is working on, and from Mark Woodward, Director of VEC District #4, about what it means to be a member-owner and how members can get involved.

Vermont Electric Cooperative Gives Back to Community

Johnson, VT- Since the fall of 2014, the Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) Community Fund has made grants to six local organizations in support of key projects. Memphremagog Watershed Association, Boy Scouts of America, North Country Hospital, Capstone Community Action, Birds of Vermont and North Woods Stewardship Center all received small grants from the VEC Community Fund.  The Fund has disbursed just under $3,000 to date.
