COVID-19 and VEC

March 15, 2020

Dear VEC Member:
As our community continues to contend with the COVID-19 coronavirus, VEC is committed to ensuring safe and uninterrupted electrical service. There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our community and employees. We also know that reliable service is critical, now more than ever.

We appreciate your patience as we follow best practices to ensure reliable service while taking action to support the well-being of Vermont.

Currently we are incorporating social distancing practices into our usual operations. We expect over the coming weeks this will continue to evolve, and VEC will be ready to respond with additional action as appropriate. We can all help each other during this challenging time.

  • To reduce risk we are asking members to please refrain from visiting our offices. Instead, please call 800-832-2667 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to reach our team who is ready to assist you.

  • When you see our field staff please keep a safe distance and avoid close contact.

  • If there are delays in any of our services we appreciate your patience. It is critical that we operate in accordance with best practices.

  • If you need to pay your bill you can call, email, use the Pay Now service, or login to SmartHub.

  • We are in the process of making alternative plans for all of our public events and activities so please check our website, Facebook page, or Twitter feed for the latest updates.

We continue to closely monitor this situation and will provide updates as necessary. Please take care of yourself, your family and your community. We are confident we, as a community, will weather this storm.

Respectfully,
Rebecca Towne, Chief Executive Officer
